Valerie leads the legal and compliance department of Fringe Benefit Group and its affiliates. She provides legal and compliance oversight in corporate initiatives, risk mitigation, contract negotiations and new product development. Her team supports 15 departments, providing daily support to compliance and legal questions relating to ERISA, privacy and security, HIPAA, and operations. Valerie focuses on retirement and health benefits law, insurance law, and privacy and security law. Prior to joining FBG, she was a senior attorney at a large financial services company where she specialized in retirement benefits. She earned her law degree from DePaul University, her MBA from Regis University and Bachelor of Business Administration from Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University.
